United morning news: Loan star suffers injury; three tipped for January exit

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Manchester United could reportedly sell three players next month.

The Daily Star claims Anders Lindegaard, Anderson and Nani could all be sold as United manager Louis van Gaal looks to raise additional funds before he brings in new players.

The trio have barely featured at Old Trafford in recent times, with Anderson’s contract coming to an end and Nani currently on loan at Sporting Lisbon, so it remains to be seen how much the club could bring in if they did sell the trio.

Speaking of Nani, Fourfourtwo reports that the Portuguese international suffered an injury in Sporting’s 3-1 win against Boavista on Friday evening.

The winger has been in sparkling form since he returned to his former club but he was forced to leave the field in the first half.

The 28-year-old has scored six goals and set up five since he temporarily left United in the summer.
