Manchester United teenager Adnan Januzaj could head out on loan to Spanish side Real Sociedad according to a report in the Telegraph.
The Belgian international had an outstanding debut campaign at Old Trafford under the management of David Moyes, but the 19-year-old’s second campaign has been disappointing in comparison.
Januzaj was tipped for a United exit earlier this season, only for Louis van Gaal to use him considerably more in the weeks that followed. But the youngster has still played only 412 minutes of top flight football this season, featuring for just a single minute in United’s last three matches.
As a result, the Telegraph has suggested Moyes’ new club Sociedad as a potential destination, given how well the Sottish manager knows the young player.
It was a link that was always going to happen, when you consider Januzaj’s challenge for a regular starting spot at Old Trafford and Moyes’ need to repair his damaged reputation in La Liga, and the report claims that there may be some discussion regarding a possible temporary move in the coming weeks.
There is no chance United will sell Januzaj considering his talent and his potential, but a loan move would actually make sense when Angel Di Maria, Juan Mata and the like are keeping the teenager in the under-21s rather than on the stage his ability deserves.
