'Leeds will love playing against Kiraly' - Fulham fans react on Twitter to Watford loss

The Cottagers are not looking forward to facing Leeds next weekend with their current first-choice goalkeeper suspended...

Fulham fans could be forgiven for thinking a 5-0 defeat to Watford is the sum of their problems this morning.

As many supporters in west London have pointed out, however, Marcus Bettinelli's sending off against Watford means things are even worse: the Cottagers will be without their main goalkeeper when they travel to Leeds next weekend.

Gabor Kiraly, 38, was the man who replaced Bettinelli in goal and his performance against the Hornets did little to fill Fulham fans with confidence.

In fact, they are now dreading the prospect of Kiraly facing Leeds United...

"You've got to learn from it and there's quite a lot we can learn from that,'' Fulham boss Kit Symons told Sky Sports after the heavy defeat. "There is a lot of hard work and a lot of improving to be done.

"We started very poorly and Watford came out all guns blazing. We gave a way bad goal and then the sending-off makes life difficult. We had a mountain to climb.

"After the break there was a wonder strike and a sloppy late goal, but the players showed good character in the second half.''

Ross McCormack, of course, left Leeds for Fulham in the summer, meaning there is sure to be heavy interest in the Championship clash between the two sides. If Kiraly plays in goal, however, Fulham fans on Twitter after last night's game wondered if Leeds United will have a field day...
