Gutierrez, Cabella & Cisse react on Twitter to Newcastle's Chelsea win

The Magpies stars were elated on social media after ending the Premier League leaders' unbeaten run.

Was yesterday the day Newcastle United proved themselves for good?

Alan Pardew's men turned a corner when they beat Leicester City all those weeks ago for their first Premier League win of the season. After that, four more followed...

But never had they beaten a side like Chelsea. And nor had anyone else beaten Jose Mourinho's team - who many feared would walk the title unbeaten this term.

Well, not quite, as a double from Papiss Cisse rendered Didier Drogba's late strike futile. Mourinho has never won at St James' Park and that proud record still stands on Tyneside.

Naturally, Newcastle's stars were delighted on Twitter after the game. Jonas Gutierrez, who recently recovered from testicular cancer, cheered his team-mates on, praising skipper Fabricio Coloccini in particular.

Remy Cabella, match-winner Cisse, Rolando Aarons, Rob Elliot, Sammy Ameobi, Tim Krul and more also tweeted. In fact, so many did that including all would simply provide too long a list.

When Chelsea lost at Newcastle in Mourinho's first Premier League season, the Blues still went on to win the title - and they are still favourites to do so this time around. But, for Newcastle, supporters can really start to believe in what this team are capable of. What a far cry it is from the start of the campaign.
