Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar labels Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew a ‘big head’

Alan Pardew

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar is less than complimentary to Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew.

Newcastle United did something on Saturday that many thought would not be possible: defeat Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho’s side were many football followers’ favourites heading into Saturday’s Premier League clash at St. James’ Park, but they went down 2-1.

Papiss Cisse put Newcastle in the lead in the 57th minute and doubled the advantage on 78 minutes to put the hosts in the driving seat.

Although Didier Drogba halved the deficit seven minutes from time, it failed to lead to a Chelsea comeback.

While many were praising Newcastle manager Alan Pardew for his truly brilliant achievement, former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar was less complimentary.

This is not the first time that Lord Sugar has labeled a Premier League manager "a big head". Not so long ago the 67-year-old said the same about Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

One suspects that Pardew is not going to take much notice of Lord Sugar’s comments. After all, he has just defeated the Premier League’s best side.
