Diego Poyet returns to West Ham United from Huddersfield Town loan spell

West Ham United-owned Diego Poyet’s one-month loan spell at Championship club Huddersfield Town has come to an end.

Diego Poyet has returned to West Ham United following the end of his loan spell at Huddersfield Town.

The 19-year-old midfielder joined the Championship outfit on a one-month loan deal from Premier League high-flyers West Ham last month.

During his time at the John Smith's Stadium, the teenager made two league appearances. He created one chance, won 40% of his duels and had a pass accuracy of 81%.

Poyet, who is the son of Sunderland manager Gus Poyet, seems to have enjoyed his short stay at Huddersfield.

Poyet will now be aiming to get more chances at West Ham. The youngster joined the Hammers from Charlton Athletic in the summer transfer window, but he has been able to make only two appearances in the Premier League so far.

It will not be easy for the teenage midfielder to get into Sam Allardyce’s team given the competition for places and the form of the players, but he will certainly give his best.
