CONFIRMED: Stoke and Arsenal line-ups

Stoke Britannia Stadium

Here is how Stoke City and Arsenal will line up for this afternoon’s match:

Stoke City starting XI: Begovic, Bardsley, Shawcross, Muniesa, Pieters, N'Zonzi, Cameron, Diouf, Bojan, Walters, Crouch

Stoke City subs: Butland, Huth, Whelan, Ireland, Adam, Assaidi, Shenton

Arsenal starting XI: Martinez, Bellerin, Chambers, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Ramsey, Flamini, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis, Cazorla, Giroud

Arsenal subs: Szczesny, Koscielny, Podolski, Welbeck, Campbell, Ajayi, Maitland-Niles

Stoke City welcome Arsenal to the Britannia Stadium this afternoon in an encounter that has plenty of history.

This is the kind of match Arsene Wenger’s side must ensure they win if they want to have realistic claims of cementing a top-four place; and with the three sides directly above them not playing today the Gunners have a chance to jump above both West Ham United and Manchester United and go level on points with Southampton.

Stoke will still be reflecting on what could have been when they came so close to equalising against United last week, but they must now refocus to take on an Arsenal side that has, in Alexis Sanchez, one of the most in-form front-men in Europe.
