Formula 1 fans have to wait a little while longer to see who will partner Fernando Alonso next season.
The season is over and now is the time for driver changes and rumours, although most of the big teams have already confirmed their seats for next season.
The decision of Sebastian Vettel to switch Red Bull for Ferrari has of course shook things up a bit. That decision has seen Fernando Alonso make the move to McLaren but the Woking based team are still dithering over who should be his partner.
They have a straight choice between former world champion Jenson Button and the Dane Kevin Magnusson, but still, F1 fans are waiting to discover if one of the sport's most popular men is guaranteed a seat for next season.
Button has made it clear he wants to stay at McLaren and a decision was expected yesterday. However the team are continuing to debate the topic - suggesting there is some internal strife over whether to have a double world champion team, or to give Magnusson a chance.
McLaren say driver decision has not been made and there will be no announcements "until next week at the earliest"— Andrew Benson (@andrewbensonf1) December 5, 2014
"The board meeting has concluded and no decision has been taken with regard our 2015 driver line-up."
It is reported that a decision on the second driver will now be made next week, with the vague 'early December' target for the decision now being stretched slightly.
But hopefully, in seven days time, we will all know who will partner Alonso at McLaren next season.
