Ronny Deila provides injury update, reveals what Celtic need against Motherwell

The Celtic boss has been speaking ahead of the SPL leaders' clash at Motherwell on Saturday afternoon.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila says Jason Denayer and Charlie Mulgrew are 'struggling' for fitness ahead of Saturday's clash at Motherwell.

The SPL leaders beat Partick Thistle 1-0 last night but could be without two key members of their squad going into their next game this weekend.

And Celtic will definitely be without Mikael Lustig, according to their manager.

"Jason Denayer [is] still struggling for Saturday as is Charlie Mulgrew. Mikael Lustig [is] on [his] way back but Fir Park match may be too soon for him," Deila revealed at his pre-match press conference.

Meanwhile, the Norwegian also identified the three key qualities his side will need at Motherwell during Saturday's early kick-off.

"We need movement, tempo on the ball & also to be good defensively so we can keep them under pressure, open them up and get the goals.

"It’s going to be the same type of game as the one against Thistle. We’ll have the ball a lot, and it will be hard to break them down.

"We go into every game aiming to win and we know that we can win every game in the league if we’re at our best."
