Manchester United morning news: Fresh Reus links, Smalling on side's belief

A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester United.

Fresh reports are again linking Manchester United with a move for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.

Reus is rated as BVB’s best player and he could be moved on with his team currently sitting bottom of the Bundesliga table.

United are thought to have maintained an interest in signing him for well over a year.

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling says the belief is back in the side.

United’s win against Stoke this week was their fourth victory in their last five games, as they maintain an impressive run of form.

“I think at the moment we are in such a good run of form. We have got that belief back,” said the defender.

Midfielder Juan Mata is keen for the side to extend their winning streak.

United now face a difficult game against Southampton this Monday, with the Saints above United in the table.

“Now we have the chance to have a great December - probably the most important month in the league because we play more [games],” said the Spaniard.
