Rodgers full of praise for Lallana

Liverpool's 3-1 win over Leicester on Tuesday night was their second victory in a row, which is a much needed boost for manager Brendan Rodgers after a tough start to the season.

The crucial equaliser was scored by playmaker Adam Lallana, who is becoming an increasingly important part of Rodgers' side - and the Reds boss was full of praise for the former Southampton star.

"I thought he was excellent the other night and he has been very, very good since he came in," said Rodgers. "Some of the changes of the team mean he has missed out tactically, but when he has played he has done very well."

"He took his goal really well. I have been delighted with him since he came here. He is a wonderful talent and he will make a big impact in his time here," he added.

Suarez believes he has matured since leaving Liverpool

The Reds still haven't really recovered from the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, as Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli have struggled to fill the void left by the Uruguyan.

Suarez has now scored his first goal for Barcelona, and amid all the criticism for Suarez's conduct on the pitch, the striker says he has now calmed down.

"I now look so calm, although nobody is going to rid me of my character when fighting for the ball," said Suarez. "However, I’m arguing less and fighting with opponents less. I now try to make friends on the pitch so I don’t get involved."

Bid made for Ba?

With those woes in attack, it would be little surprise to see Liverpool add another striker in the January transfer window - and according to reports in Turkey, they are pursuing Demba Ba.

Ba, who left Chelsea for Besiktas this summer, was the player who famously profited from Steven Gerrard's unfortunate slip to end Liverpool's title hopes.

Yet after banging the goals in for Slaven Bilic's Besiktas, Turkish newspaper AMK suggest that Liverpool are vying with Monaco and AC Milan for his signature.
