The Liverpool defender was full of praise for the Spaniard.
Just what is it with Iago Aspas?
The Liverpool loanee struggled badly in the Premier League last season and no one can blame Brendan Rodgers for offloading him - even if only on a temporary basis - at the earliest opportunity.
But Aspas looks a completely different player back home in Spain!
The 27-year-old has already scored two hat-tricks while on loan at Sevilla - the second came last night, while he impressed in La Liga in the first place to earn his Liverpool move.
It must be stressed, however, that his latest goal-glut came against lower-league opposition in a cup competition and that Aspas has been sparingly used by Sevilla so far this term.
That sounds more like it, doesn't it?
Nevertheless, Liverpool defender Jose Enrique was keen to praise the Spaniard for his achievement as, after all, not many strikers score a hat-trick all season - let alone two.
And the Reds left-back labeled Aspas a 'top player' on Twitter:
Imagine a world where the 27-year-old could be recalled and solve Liverpool's goal shortage up front?
On this planet, neither look a realistic outcome...
