Chelsea morning news: Mourinho on Blues mentality, drops hint over Drogba

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho says Chelsea have the best mentality when it comes to squad rotation.

Didier Drogba and Loic Remy both scored last night in the 3-0 win against Tottenham with Diego Costa unavailable through suspension.

“Our mentality is the right mentality: we don’t have a player, we don’t cry about it. We give confidence to others and they respond in the best way,” said the boss.

Eden Hazard was the other goalscorer and the Belgian was delighted with the way the side responded after the goalless draw against Sunderland last weekend.

Hazard combined well with Drogba for Chelsea’s opening goal last night.

“We want to stay on top. Today was a very good match, I think. We played very good. It was important. We have six points in front ... and we want to stay there,” said Hazard.

Mourinho has hinted that Drogba will remain at the club once he’s retired from playing and will undertake a backroom role with the Blues.

“It looks, for me, that he's going to stay doing other things when he finishes his career,” he’s quoted by the BBC.
