Birmingham City captain Paul Robinson has welcomed Nikola Zigic back to the club.
The 34-year-old has re-joined the Championship outfit on a deal until the end of the season.
Zigic had been without a club since the summer when his contract with Birmingham ran out.
The Serbian striker has now been handed a new deal by the Blues, who are currently 17th in the Championship table with 22 points from 19 matches, just four points above the relegation zone.
Robinson, who has been on the books of Birmingham since 2012, has welcomed his former teammate back to St Andrew’s.
Zigic was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window following his release from Birmingham, but nothing concrete materialised.
The former Valencia star has been training with Birmingham for some time, and having received his work permit, he can now start playing in competitive matches.
