The Welshman provided the game winning assist for Alexis Sanchez at the end of the game, a vital contribution to bring Arsenal within three points of the Saints.
Ramsey has been out of form since his return from injury, and hasn't scored since August. This was his first assist since September.
It has not been for lack of trying, Ramsey had five shots against Southampton, with only one on target. Versus West Brom at the weekend he had five, all off target.

|Aaron Ramsey||Arsenal vs Southampton||5||1||90|
His desire to snap his own personal goal drought was clearly frustrating for fans to watch, who vented their disappointment with the Welshman's form and decision making, via Twitter.
Ramsey was prolific in front of goal last season, even bagging the winner in the FA Cup Final. The midfielder began this season in form too, but has been unable to impact games in the same way over the past two months.
This has much to do with a change in style, he profited from playing off Olivier Giroud, and it's also a confidence issue for him. Perhaps, with the assist under his belt, he will take some of the pressure off himself and begin to play more naturally without trying to force the issue.
Here's a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to his display via Twitter...
How poor has Ramsey been so far this season? Looks a shadow of the player he was last year. Worrying lack of goals coming from #afc midfield— Killian Kelly (@Killian_K95) December 3, 2014
Only Twitter fans turning on Ramsey, Emirates crowd right behind him. PS Ramsey made the winner. #AFC— Arsenalista (@Arsenalista) December 3, 2014
No idea what's happened to Ramsey though. Miles off the pace & his decision making & execution was well off. Big worry. Needs a goal. #afc— Matt Littlechild (@mattlittlechild) December 3, 2014
I said it before we need to start booing Aaron Ramsey seems he works better on antagonism than support #AFC— Instagram: @beebayuu (@beebayuu) December 3, 2014
Hate saying it but ramsey is a shadow of himself from last yr,offering nothing to the team, it's like playing with 10 men!! #AFC— orla conaghan (@orlacon0) December 3, 2014
