November was an important month for clubs at the top and bottom of the Premier League, with Manchester United breaking into the top four, Chelsea holding their lead and the likes of QPR, Burnley and Leicester trying to get out of the bottom three.
Here’s our team of the month for November.
David De Gea (Manchester United)
Time and time again last month, De Gea stepped up and got his United teammates out of trouble. He makes big saves at key times, which has helped United secure points they would otherwise have lost.
Carl Jenkinson (West Ham United)
The Arsenal loanee had a great month for West Ham United. He made more accurate crosses than any other player, providing an extra attack during games where the Hammers were able to get on top.
Ashley Williams (Swansea City)
Williams showed every bit of his experience throughout November, making a high number of interceptions, which hints at great intelligence in terms of being able to read the game.
John Terry (Chelsea)
The Chelsea legend keeps on churning out top quality performances as Chelsea kept three clean sheets during November and retained their position at the top of the Premier League.
Gael Clichy (Manchester City)
Clichy provided balance and composure in the Manchester City defence. He rarely made a mistake in the high pressure situations and got forward frequently to provide extra width on the left.
Antonio Valencia (Manchester United)
Valencia sneaks into our midfield because he was the highest tackling midfielder although he was used at right-back at times by Louis van Gaal. He showed great maturity in terms of being able to adjust to a new position.
Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)
Fabregas is right there again with two assists last month. His consistency in that respect has been superb and he’s played a vital role in helping to keep the Blues top of the Premier League.
Nemanja Matic (Chelsea)
Matic is the best holding player in the Premier League at the moment. He protects the ball well, protects his teammates well and makes it difficult for the opposition to gain any momentum.
Angel Di Maria (Manchester United)
Di Maria was also superb last month with two assists. He’s taken to life in the Premier League easily and makes Real Madrid’s decision to sell him look silly on a weekly basis.
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Aguero is arguably City’s most important player at the moment. He turns up at key moments and scores big goals on all fronts.
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)
We’ve snuck Alexis Sanchez into our attacking frontline for the three goals he scored in November. He’s quick, versatile and one of Arsenal’s most consistent players throughout this season.
