Transfer Clock: Have Tottenham clinched Rabiot deal? Liverpool progress to sign Odegaard, Arsenal want Schneiderlin

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Manchester United and Sunderland feature.

28 Days to go until the transfer window opens: Here's the news you need to be up to date on...

1) Tottenham linked strongly to Rabiot

Tottenham Hotspur are rumoured to have agreed a deal to sign PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot. Italian newspaper Il Tempo, who were tracking Roma's pursuit of the star, write that the Frenchman has been convinced to join Spurs. Rabiot signed a new deal in October having been poised to leave on a free next summer, but the paper address this by stating his renewal was simply so PSG could get a fee for his service. The deal remains unconfirmed, but with the 19-year-old having started only one game this season, it's still logical he could be ready for an exit.

2) Arsenal want to beat Spurs to Schneiderlin

Arsenal are being linked again to Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin. The midfielder missed Southampton's loss at The Emirates through injury, but has been a key element of their strong start to the season. The Sun report Arsenal want to bid £15 million, which may not be enough and while Arsene Wenger would like to do his business next summer, he is reportedly worried about competition from Spurs who tried to sign him in the last transfer window.

3) Liverpool make Odegaard progress

Liverpool have had exciting talent Martin Odegaard over for a visit. The Norwegian wonderkid was given a tour of the club, training ground, and the city centre, report The Mail. Real Madrid and Manchester United are also interested in the teenager, but Liverpool appear a step ahead of their competitors.

4) Italian set for Premier League loan?

AC Milan forward Pazzini could be set for a January loan move to the Premier League. The Mirror report QPR, Aston Villa and Sunderland have all been contacted regarding the striker. It was reported two days ago by The Mail that Burnley had shown an interest in the 30-year-old. He is out of favour this season but two years ago bagged 15 goals in 30 games, and has 25 international caps.

5) Napoli want Giaccherini

While one Italian could be heading in at Sunderland, another could be poised for an exit. The Sunderland Echo report Rafa Benitez's Napoli have shown an interest in international midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini. The 29-year-old has missed he last two months of action with injury, but is close to making a return.
