Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for promising striker Ezequiel Ponce.
The Argentine is attracting interest from teams across Europe, with Roma leading the way.
Ponce is just 17, but is highly regarded at the side where Lionel Messi began his career, Newells Old Boys.
Italian website TMW claim Roma want to offer €7 million for 70 per cent of his signature, and would remain in Argentina until next summer.
They add there is competition from Tottenham, who have an Argentine connection through boss Mauricio Pochettino and stars Erik Lamela and Federico Fazio.
Ponce has been linked with Roma since the summer, but the Italians have been unable to close a deal, for the striker who has been dubbed 'the new Batistuta'.
