Robbie Blake has been singing the praises of Leeds United youngster Lewis Cook.
The 17-year-old is enjoying a breakthrough season at the West Yorkshire outfit, and is rated by many football followers as one of the most promising midfielders in England.
Having rose through the ranks at Leeds, Cook is now an important part of Neil Redfearn’s first team and has been quite impressive so far this season.
In 17 Championship appearances, the youngster has created 14 chances, has a 78% pass accuracy, and has won 44% of his duels.
Over the last few games, Cook’s importance to the team has grown massively, and former Leeds player Blake believes that the teenager has been “outstanding”.
“Cook has been outstanding since Neil took over,” he told Radio Yorkshire. “He has been a different player.”
Cook is still developing and is ‘raw’, but his performances have shown the talent and quality he possesses.
In Redfearn, the youngster has the perfect manager to help him take his game to a new level. And, hopefully for the Leeds fans, he will.
