Leeds United's under-18 side were well supported for their FA Youth Cup clash against Chelsea last night.

Leeds United fans headed to Elland Road last night full of buzz and anticipation at seeing the next generation of youngsters compete against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup.

Unfortunately for those supporters that made it to the match, they saw a young Leeds side go down 2-0 at the hands of the Blues, despite holding a numerical advantage for much of the second half.

Leeds under-18 boss Jason Blunt says it’s a match that his youngsters really should have won but it’s a good experience nevertheless in front of a crowd, which was larger than they are used to.

Chelsea have one of the best youth setups in Europe and named a side which included players to have featured in the under-21 Premier League already this season as well as the UEFA Youth League.

Leeds gave a good account of themselves and should be proud of the performance they put together despite the defeat.
