Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has backed Everton to get the better of Hull City in the Premier League tonight.
The Toffees will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday and return to winning ways.
Everton will head into the match at Goodison Park as the favourites, and Merson expects Roberto Martinez’s side to pick up all three points.
“I was shocked on Sunday,” the 46-year-old wrote on Skysports.com. “When Everton went one up with that worldy by Kevin Mirallas, I thought they’d go on and win.
“I worry for Hull at the moment - I didn’t at the start of the season, but watching them the other day they were terrible.
“They’re fourth from bottom and I don’t see them getting anything from this, while I reckon Everton will win and get back on another roll.”
Everton are currently 11th in the Premier League table with 17 points from 13 matches, while Hull are third from bottom with just 11.
The Merseyside outfit have better players who have shown this season that they can challenge for a place in the top four.
Winning against Hull should not be too difficult for Everton, but they should not get complacent.
