Newcastle United may have only managed a draw against Burnley on Tuesday evening, but they can be proud of their efforts given the hosts' excellent recent form.
Sean Dyche's side were chasing their third victory in four matches and Alan Pardew's men ensured they got a share of the spoils courtesy of Papiss Cisse's second-half effort.
Newcastle were not at their best against the Clarets, but that can be forgiven considering how well they have been playing in recent weeks to surge up the table. Yet while some of the Magpies' squad did not play anywhere near their potential, it is the unsung star of their campaign who put in a performance of real note.
Sammy Ameobi may have only scored one goal this season, but he has been vital in his side's surge up the table.
His 60 per cent passing accuracy means the 22-year-old has plenty to work on but three accurate crosses, one key pass and a 100 per cent on-target shooting accuracy painted a promising picture.

The Newcastle player also went on four dribbles and played an impressive 17 forward passes as he attempted to guide his side to yet another victory.
The way Ameobi played this week suggests he could go on to surpass his brother's achievements at St James' Park but it also means he is unlikely to be the unsung hero for much longer.
