Marouane Fellaini was voted man of the match by supporters on Facebook following Manchester United's 2-1 victory over Stoke City.
The Belgium international earned 52% of the vote, beating off competition from Juan Mata (35%) and Chris Smalling (13%), to earn the accolade in a game where, despite a dominant performance, United had David de Gea to thank for all three points after a late wonder-save.
Fellaini, who was joined in midfield by Mata, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera, scored the opener after he was able to get on the end of a superb Herrera cross with a powerful header.
United's lead was short lived, however, as Stoke City midfielder Steven N'Zonzi hammered the back of the net with a superb long-range effort, leaving De Gea no chance. A Mata free-kick in the 59th minute essentially won the Red Devils the game, despite the goalscorer remaining unclear.
Fellaini was praised by fans, team-mates and pundits alike for his performance and, despite Mata winning the official Manchester United man of the match award, the Belgian was the clear choice in the eyes of supporters on Facebook.
The £27.5 million man has been instrumental in the recent run of games that have seen United move from a mid-table position into the top four.
If he can continue his recent form over the course of the season, it will more than likely repair the damage done to his reputation in his first year in Manchester.
