The three points matter the most - but there was a little confusion on the pitch as to who bagged Manchester United's winner against Stoke.
It was credited to Juan Mata, who expertly delivered a dangerous ball in, and while Marcos Rojo claimed to get a touch, it appeared to float straight into the net.
Mata was asked after the game as to who he felt scored it, and he responded that he intended to check the video to make sure.
Mata added: “I tried to put the ball where it would be difficult for the keeper. It’s an important goal & we must check whose it is!” #mufc— Manchester United (@ManUtd) December 2, 2014
With the video evidence supporting Mata's claim to his fourth goal of the season, teammate Ashley Young took to Twitter to confirm he felt it was bad news for Rojo.
Rojo, who has recently returned from injury, was making his ninth appearance of the season, and looks still to be in the hunt for his first United goal.
The Red Devils sit in fourth position in the Premier League, and will be hoping at least one of Chelsea, Southampton and Manchester City slip up tomorrow night. They travel to the Saints next Monday night.
