The Liverpool icon made a joke about the Merseyside club's recent attempts to sell half-season tickets.
Carragher's former club Liverpool have struggled so far this season but currently sit above the Toffees in the Premier League table and won at Leicester on Tuesday, while Roberto Martinez's side were unable to take all three points against the Tigers.
That presented the perfect opportunity for the 36-year-old to mock Everton, taking aim at their recent attempt to offload half-season tickets at Goodison Park.
2 defeats for Efc and Man city to come so not easy but vital they get back on track as they need to sell those half season tickets for Xmas.— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) December 3, 2014
Blues it was a joke! You'll sell loads of them.— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) December 3, 2014
Naturally, several Toffees supporters responded to Carragher's bait, with some emphasising the fact that the ex-Liverpool man was a boyhood Everton fan and some pointing out the fact that the club actually drew with Hull and didn't lose.
@Carra23 who has more season ticket holders Jamie??? I'll give you a clue.. You watched them home and away as a boy 'we don't cap it'— Dave Bennett (@djdavebennett) December 3, 2014

Everton's trip to Premier League champions Manchester City takes place on Saturday evening, when they face Manuel Pellegrini's men at the Etihad Stadium during the late kick-off.
Martinez and co will no doubt be hoping to get back to winning ways. Even then, though, if the opportunity presents itself, Carragher is never one to miss a joke, is he?
