A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Wednesday evening ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Tottenham forward Roberto Soldado has said the side will go to Stamford Bridge tonight looking to win the game, but admits it will be difficult to be the first side to take any points of the Blues on their own patch in the Premier League this season.

He told the Tottenham website: “We are very good away from home and we feel we are a strong team, so we need to continue our away form and keep the confidence high.

“The win against Everton was very important. Why can’t we win at Stamford Bridge? It’s difficult but we will go there to win.”

Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino has said that belief is key to their hopes of leaving Stamford Bridge tonight with a positive result, as they look to build on the momentum generated recently.

He said: “We are confident in our skill and it’s true we’ve had good results away.

“We also need to understand that this is a very tough game. Chelsea have kept clean sheets in 11 of their last 14 games so for us, it’s a good challenge.”

Away from tonight's London derby, Tottenham are reportedly interested in Sampdoria striker Manolo Gabbiadini according to TalkSport.

The report says that Napoli are also interested in the 23-year-old but and quotes his agent Silvio Pagliari about the interest surrounding the player, but says he's focussed on playing for his current club as things stand.

Pagliari said: "I've received a few phonecalls, and I repeat, they were from both foreign and Italian clubs.

"I was asked for information about the lad, who I can guarantee is focussed completely on Sampdoria at the moment."
