Chelsea morning news: £7m Cech linked with exit, Mourinho dismisses invincible talk

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says his side aren’t focused on a repeat of Arsenal’s ‘invincibles’ season.

There has been talk that Chelsea could match the remarkable achievement of Arsene Wenger’s old side and go the whole season without losing a league game.

“One thing is that I don't think it's possible (to complete a season unbeaten). The other thing is that we are not playing for that - We are going to play matches to win. And, sometimes, we will lose,” said the boss.

AS Roma are the latest side to be linked with making a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.

The Czech has been routinely linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge after Jose Mourinho made Thibaut Courtois number one at the club.

Reports suggest that Roma could offer in the region of £7 million for the player.

Chelsea’s under-18 side completed a solid win in the FA Youth Cup last night, defeating Leeds United away.

The young Blues ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Izzy Brown and a strike from Dom Solanke.
