Cazorla: These three Arsenal teammates are top bracket players

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has revealed all in an exclusive interview with Fourfourtwo magazine.

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has revealed which teammates he believes are among the best players in the world.

The Spanish international was conducting an interview for Fourfourtwo magazine when he was quizzed to name which teammates he believes are in the top bracket.

The Gunners host a squad full of endeavour and top talent, illustrated by their continuous presence in the top four and their FA Cup triumph last season.

But who really are among the best of the best? Cazorla’s top three might have two familiar names but the other one could come as a bit of a shock.

Alexis Sanchez:

“Well we have many really good players. But, of course, the most recent example is Alexis Sanchez,” Cazorla explained.

“His performances at Arsenal have been really first class. I knew of him from when he was at Barcelona and he’s a player who’s going to be very important for Arsenal.”

The Chilean international has been in red hot form of late and has taken to life at the Emirates with a bang, scoring eight goals and adding two assists in 11 Premier League starts.

As per the table provided by Opta Stats, aside from his goals and assists the former Barca man is a constant attacking threat, averaging 3.08 shots, 2.58 chances and 2.92 successful dribbles per match.

Mesut Ozil:

“Mesut Ozil is another footballer whose qualities are recognisable to everybody in the world from his time at Real Madrid. He’s a spectacular player,” Cazorla added.

The German international arrived in North London for a club record transfer fee and his initial performances for the Gunners illustrated why he was so costly.

Ozil has since dipped in form as of 2014 and is currently out of action nursing an injury, but his overall talent and ability can’t be questioned.

As per the table, since moving to Arsene Wenger’s side he has averaged 1.16 shots on goal, an incredible 2.81 key passes and 1.94 successful dribbles per match.

Laurent Koscielny:

“Looking elsewhere, Laurent Koscielny for me is a great defender and there are very few players like him in the world. Of course I could give you more but I think these three are good examples,” Cazorla decided.

The French international defender joined the North Londoners in 2010 and has gone on to represent the club 176 times in all competitions, proving his worth.
