We explore the three main reasons why Tottenham Hotspur can defeat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Wednesday…

The Tottenham Hotspur players will be high on confidence following three wins in a row in all competitions.

Spurs’ performance against Everton at White Hart Lane in the Premier League was one of their best of the season so far, and they will certainly be looking to build on that.

Winning against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is not going to be easy, but the North London outfit will not be short of confidence for sure.

Roberto Soldado

One swallow does not make a summer and Roberto Soldado’s goal against Everton should not flare up suggestions that he is now going to have a goal-feast.

However, the Spain international’s confidence and self-convince will be high now, and given his deadly finishing, he will be a menace to the Chelsea defenders.

Soldado’s movements and link-up plays will cause problems; if he does not score himself, then he could create one for his strike-partner Harry Kane.

Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen is truly one of the most promising young attacking players in Europe, and his recent performances have been hugely impressive (click here to read more).

The Denmark international appears to have added some consistency to his game, and he will be a real creative force for Tottenham against Chelsea.

Eriksen’s ability to play down the middle or wide and his vision will be vital in Tottenham crafting chances against a Chelsea team who have arguably the best defensive unit in the Premier League.
