The Standard has reported that Tottenham Hotspur will learn after the New Year whether they will be allowed to develop a multi-million pound player lodge facility.
The aim is to give Tottenham’s players some of the best facilities in Europe as well as providing the option for other teams to use the complex, with the Standard’s original report suggesting England as an option.
The facility will also be home to around 45 players who can use rooms to stay in much the same way as England’s base at St Georges Park.
Perhaps the biggest benefit of all would relate to Mauricio Pochettino, giving the boss a better chance of keeping everyone together given the short turnaround time between some home Premier League games.
That would allow the side to work on weaknesses and cover more tactics between games rather than players spending time apart when matches are so close together.
The future is bright.
