It looked as though West Brom had turned a corner a few weeks ago - but looks can be deceiving.
After finally getting back to winning ways, Alan Irvine's side are now back to their old ways - having lost four games in a row in the Premier League.
Last night's 2-1 reverse to West Ham United despite leading at the Hawthorns was just the latest example.
But Baggies defender Joleon Lescott remained positive in the face of defeat when taking to Twitter after the game.
Another disappointing result but felt we gave a good account of ourselves tonight. We need to take the 2nd haves performance in Saturday.— Joleon Lescott (@JoleonLescott) December 2, 2014
Indeed, the former Manchester City man appears to be suggesting the way forward for West Brom - for his side to fight as they did in the second half against West Ham.
Irvine's side also showed fight during the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal as they pressed for a late equaliser on Saturday.
But that heart has ultimately translated into nothing - and several fans have become disillusioned with Irvine's reign at the Midlands club already.
