Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed several stars are waiting on their fitness ahead of the Chelsea clash.
Tottenham have a huge game against Chelsea on Wednesday evening, and hope to receive a significant fitness boost ahead of the clash.
The club website report no less than five first team stars are awaiting good news on their injuries ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge, with Tottenham aiming to end Chelsea's unbeaten start to the season.
Etienne Capoue, Andros Townsend, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Danny Rose are all possibles, along with Vlad Chiriches who picked up a knock against Everton.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino has also confirmed it is too soon for Kyle Walker to come into contention, with the defender featuring for the under-21s on Monday. Kyle Naughton does however return from suspension and could play.
All five will be assessed on Tuesday by their availability or sharpness in tomorrow's training session.
Chiriches had played the last two games at right-back, but Naughton's return makes rushing him back less of a priority. Danny Rose is also unlikely to dislodge Ben Davies who impressed against Everton.
Emmanuel Adebayor's best bet would also be a place on the bench, with Roberto Soldado finally getting a confidence-boosting goal, while Andros Townsend has been out of favour under Pochettino in the Premier League.
Perhaps the most important star Spurs are counting on then, becomes midfielder Etienne Capoue who hasn't featured since the international break, and started the season in impressive form.
He could add solidity to the Tottenham midfield, and offer a more experienced option to partner Ryan Mason rather than youngster Nabil Bentaleb who featured against the Toffees.
