Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has provided a positive update on the progress of Emmanuel Riviere, Rolando Aarons and Fabricio Coloccini as the trio all look to return from injury.
All three have been ruled out in recent weeks, but they are edging closer to full-fitness and could be available for the side's match against Burnley tomorrow.
“We’ve got one or two coming back this week that will feature in the Burnley game,” Pardew said to the Shields Gazette.
“Emmanuel is in and around and ready and ready to play. Aarons should be around on Tuesday, and the same for Colo."
The news serves as a timely boost for the Magpies, after they lost their unbeaten record this weekend.
Newcastle were defeated 1-0 by West Ham United, ending their string of six successive victories and confidence will have been dented, as a result.
They will be looking to return to winning ways again in midweek, though, as they have a winnable fixture against Burnley on Tuesday night.
The newly promoted side have improved in recent weeks, but Newcastle will be confident of picking up the three points in-front on their travels.
Their chances of doing so look more likely now three of their key players have returned.
Riviere was the club's marquee attacking addition this summer and although he hasn't shown his true worth yet he will be hoping to hit the ground running after returning from injury.
Aarons and Coloccini meanwhile have already proven their value to the side and will be looking to pick up where they left off when they return to action.
