Tottenham came from behind to beat Everton at White Hart Lane.
Former England internationals Michael Owen and Jamie Carragher praised Tottenham's display after their win over Everton.
Goals from Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado turned the game around after a stunning early strike from Kevin Mirallas.
Owen had predicted the Toffees to beat Tottenham, and praised the North Londoners after the game.
He wrote on SportLobster: "Fair play to Spurs, I thought Everton would get a result at White Hart Lane today. Best I've seen them play for a while."
Jamie Carragher added via his Kicca page: "Excellent win & performance from Spurs today great energy, Harry Kane superb. Everton not there normal selves two away games in three days not easy, McCarthy a big miss today & Barkley the only one who showed his normal level."
Missing players were of course a factor for Everton, but not a decisive one - that came in Tottenham's will to win and improve.
It was their first home game since Emmanuel Adebayor's comments criticising fans getting on the players' backs too early, but this had a very different feel about it.
Having come from behind to win in two consecutive games now, consistency will be expected, and they will hope for another similar performance away to Chelsea this week.
