Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has revealed that Thierry Henry is the best player he has ever faced.
Former France international striker Henry announced earlier today that he will no longer play for the New York Red Bulls.
The 37-year-old Arsenal legend’s contract at the MLS outfit is now up, and he has decided to leave the club.
Although Henry has publicly stated that he does not know what he is going to do next, there have been suggestions that the former Barcelona and Juventus striker will retire from the professional game.
Carragher, who played against Henry when the duo were in the Premier League, has now hailed the Frenchman, claiming that he is the best opponent he has ever faced.
“Thierry Henry has play his last game for New York Red Bulls if it is his last game in football what a player!” he wrote on Kicca.com. “The best I faced without a doubt and yes I still have nightmares about him running past me at Anfield!!”

In his long and illustrious career, Henry has won Ligue 1, Premier League (twice), FA Cup (thrice), La Liga (twice), Champions League and MLS Supporters’ Shield, while clinching the World Cup and the European Championship with France in 1998 and 2000 respectively.
