Noel Hunt confounded his critics by scoring on his debut for Ipswich Town.
The Irishman had been loaned out by Leeds after a terrible spell at the club which saw him fail to find the back of the net.
He spent almost the whole of this season with the under-21 team, and was sent on loan this past week.
There was some surprise when the former Reading forward was taken by play-off chasing Ipswich Town, but the deal was obviously sped along by his brother Stephen playing for the club.
Hunt came off the bench at the weekend to score a late winner against Charlton, leaving many wondering where it all went wrong under Brian McDermott at Leeds last season for him.
His early heroics did not go unnoticed, with fellow Irishmen and ex-Leeds stars Darren O'Dea, Ian Harte commenting via Twitter, as did former teammate Matt Smith - himself loaned last week from Fulham to League One side Bristol City.
A number of Leeds youngsters also sent messages, illustrating the positive regard he was held in by those he played alongside in the under-21s this season.
