Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been named as the Premier League's top player in FourFourTwo Magazine's compilation of the top 100 stars in world football.
Costa was named as the seventh best player in the world, with Manchester United's Angel di Maria - who finished in ninth place - being his closest competitor in England.
It is testament to the Blues' striker's ability and evidence of the eye-catching start that he has made at Stamford Bridge.
The feeling is that Costa is the missing piece of the Chelsea jigsaw, as he has provided them with a new attacking edge this season.
The Brazilian-born front-man was signed from Atletico Madrid this summer and he has wasted no time adapting to football in England.
Although he has not been fully-fit for much of his time at Chelsea, he has appeared unhindered in his approach and has been typically intense on the pitch.
Costa has scored 11 goals already this season and he is a major reason why Jose Mourinho's side are currently unbeaten.
The London club are already six points clear of their nearest challengers, Manchester City, and if Costa keeps up his form it is hard to see anybody catching them.
Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo was named as the best player in the world, with Barcelona star Lionel Messi ending up in third place behind Bayern Munich's Phillip Lahm.
