Grey Goo's developers, Petroglyph Studios, have announced the release date for their new RTS game.

Petroglyph Games are a games developer made up of ex-Westwood Studios employees, you know, the studio that created the Command & Conquer games. Well, their new RTS game, Grey Goo, has been given a release date on PC - 23rd January 2015.

The devs originally planned to hold a Closed Alpha and Beta after its initial Alpha tests, but they have said the data they gathered already is enough to integrate into the game for launch.

Petroglyph said, "We know that many of you were hoping to be involved in a more full-blown Beta Testing phase. However, instead, we have been focused on using the data we received to improve the game so that we can get Grey Goo into your hands and onto your computer as soon as possible."

The first of the new dev diaries is below. Expect more of these in the lead up to the game's launch.
