Arsenal earned a much needed victory against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, courtesy of a second-half header from Danny Welbeck.
The £16million forward scored on the hour-mark to give Arsene Wenger’s side their first league win in three attempts and temporarily lift them back into the top four.
Arsenal had 17 goal attempts but only managed five on target, while hosts West Brom saw just one of their nine attempts find the target, but not the back of the net.
The return of Laurent Koscielny was a big positive for Arsenal and they earned their second consecutive clean-sheet having also kept Borussia Dortmund at bay in the Champions League last week.
As for West Brom, on another day Saido Berahino could have been the goal-scoring saviour once again but instead the 21-year-old struck the woodwork and the Baggies were left to rue that missed opportunity.
