Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has been singing the praises of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The England Under-21 international has been in brilliant form in recent weeks and seems to have made himself a regular in the first team.
Kane started the Premier League match against Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday and gave a good account of himself.
The 21-year-old linked up well with his fellow attackers, and also worked hard to recover the ball and track back.
Carragher was impressed with Kane’s first-half display against Everton and told Sky Sports at the interval: “Harry Kane has been the best player on the pitch… He has been fantastic.”
Kane, who eventually picked up the ‘Man of the Match’ award, emerged with impressive stats from the match: 82% pass accuracy, four crosses and attempted three take-ons.
Tottenham’s 2-1 win against Everton has lifted them up to seventh in the Premier League table with 20 points from 13 matches, just two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
