We take a tour through Red Creek Valley and the chilling first person adventure of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
After finally getting around to playing Ethan Carter, it comes as no surprise that the game is up for Independent Game of the year at this year’s Game Awards. This is due in part to the beautiful world The Astronauts have created for the game. Achieved using a technique known as photogrammetry, graphics are derived from photographs and the resulting effect can lead to some breathtaking vistas.
Gameplay-wise, the game - while being a bit linear - lets you explore the environment at will and you're deeply immersed into things just by walking about. Without giving out spoilers, the game has a well told story with some proper tense moments and the puzzles you get are fairly simple but still enjoyable.
And the graphics are just amazing check out the screenshots below.
So that's Ethan Carter, seems quite appropriate for a Sunday to be out rambling through the countryside!
