The internet has gone Star Wars crazy since Fridays release of the teaser trailer for The Force Awakens and, whilst many questions were raised by it's contents, it seems we are one step closer to discovering who the mysterious narrator might be.
Following a report by Hitfix.com it would appear that, contrary to several peoples belief that the voice is that of Benedict Cumberbatch, the voice actually belongs to Andy Serkis. Serkis has already been officially announced in the cast list, although his character still remains a mystery, so it doesn't take much a leap of faith to believe he could be the mysterious narrator.
In their report Hitflix compared the voice with his performance in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and they believe the evidence is conclusive.
If the voice is that of Andy Serkis it could also hint at the nature of his character. The voice would fit that of a Sith Lord well so could Serkis be playing the antagonist of the movie? It would be unlikely that the Sith shown in the trailer is the Master so most likely that character would be Serkis's apprentice.
Below is the trailer and a segment from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes to compare. There is certainly a strong similarity.
Of course no official word has come out of the Star Wars camp as to who the narrator is but this seems like the most plausible option yet.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in December 2015.
