The long awaited Grumpy Cat movie comes to UK television this week.
There are almost as many celebrity animals as there are humans these days, and many of them are more talented, but the biggest star of them all has to be Grumpy Cat.
Since we first saw Grumpy Cat, real name Tardar Sauce, back in 2012 she has become an all dominating star. Not content with her status as a meme she has since gone on collect over 7million likes on Facebook and featured on many of the worlds top television programmes, including Good Morning America, American Idol, The Bachelorette and even WWE Raw. It was inevitable then that she would eventually get her own movie and now the time is upon us.
Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever stars the titular feline, Voiced and Produced by Aubrey Plaza (Parks & Recreation, Scott Pilgrim, Life After Beth), a lonely cat living in a doomed pet shop. She's bitter at being constantly passed over by other animals in the store, but is surprised to find that she can communicate with Chrystal, played by Megan Charpentier (Resident Evil: Retribution, Red Riding Hood, Jennifer's Body), an equally lonely 12-year-old girl that is equally shocked that Grumpy Cat can talk. The two are initially at odds with one another, but slowly become friends- especially after an extremely expensive dog is dognapped from the pet shop.
As well as Aubrey Plaza and Megan Charpentier, Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever stars Daniel Roebuck (John Dies At The End, The Fugitive), Russell Peters (Source Code, Def Comedy Jam) and Chris Williams (Dodgeball, Scary Movie 4, The Joneses).
Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever premiers on Lifetime UK (Sky Channel 156, Virgin Media Channel 242) at 9pm Thursday 04th December. It will also be show again on Christmas Day.
