Oh, internet, you never cease to amaze. Just a day after the official teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens went online yesterday, someone has made a Lego version of it, and it's pretty bloomin' accurate.
A friend pointed me in the direction of Snooperking's Lego trailer on his YouTube channel. In Snooperking's description of the tribute he said he "had nothing to do yesterday" so he began working on his version of the trailer once he'd seen it. He "built the Falcon, The X-Wing, The speeder bike thingy, a mini tie fighter, tried to build all the sets, and get all [his] minifigures put together..." He added that "filming took forever." Well, it doesn't seem to have taken too long, as this is an extremely quick turnaround for a tribute trailer so soon after the original.
He said he "wasn't as happy with the falcon shot", as he took to simpler methods to film some scenes, but it certainly looks good enough to us.
If you're yet to see the official trailer, where have you been for the last 24 hours? Check it out over here, and then make sure you read up on why I'm not too hyped about it, and why Matt is. Oh, and Steve even wrote about six things we learned from the trailer too. Once you've done all that, you can come back and enjoy the Lego goodness.
Here's Snooperking's trailer - I may even prefer it to the original.
