Manchester United racked up another home win, seeing off Hull City in a 3-0 victory this afternoon.
Louis van Gaal has turned Old Trafford back into a fortress in recent weeks, and that was the case again today as his Manchester United side beat Hull City 3-0.
Despite a host of injuries, United are moving nicely, and are now just two points behind their fierce rivals Manchester City in the top four.
With an ever increasingly populated treatment room, United fans must have feared that it would be another one of those days when Angel Di Maria was taken off injured with a hamstring injury after just 14 minutes.
However, defender Chris Smalling eased the tension at Old Trafford just two minutes later, turning the ball home from inside the six yard box after some chaotic Hull defending.
Captain Wayne Rooney then continued his fine form by curling home a superb shot from the edge of the box just before half time, leaving Allan McGregor stranded in the Hull goal.
Then in the 66th minute, recently maligned striker Robin van Persie answered his critics with a superb left footed finish into the roof of the net.
Hull's poor form continued with this defeat, leaving them just one point off the bottom of the Premier League, whilst United continue to improve under van Gaal.
