A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

There are contrasting reports regarding Victor Valdes in the Spanish press after the goalkeeper returned to his homeland following a spell training with Manchester United.

Inside Spanish Football has picked up on claims form Catalunya Radio that the former Barcelona player will now continue working on his fitness back in Spain in the hope of finding a new club.

That is something of a surprise given previous claims Valdes could be offered a deal by United, especially with ongoing concerns over the future of David de Gea who is yet to sign a new long-term deal.

However, Sport Witness has picked up on alternative reports from Spanish newspaper Sport, which suggests Valdes could still sign for United in due course and is currently taking something of a holiday given his ongoing legal proceedings with French club AS Monaco.

In other news, the BBC reports that Radamel Falcao and Marcos Rojo could return for United’s Premier League match against Hull City this afternoon after both returned to fitness.

However, Jonny Evans is expected to sit the match out along with the likes of Daley Blind, Luke Shaw, Rafael and Phil Jones.
