Manchester United clinched another home win today, this time seeing off Hull City in a convincing 3-0 victory at Old Trafford.
Goals from Chris Smalling, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie handed Louis van Gaal's side a comfortable win, taking them to within two points of their fierce rivals Manchester City.
The game did see star midfielder Angel Di Maria taken off injured after just 14 minutes, but in his place came Spaniard Ander Herrera.
Herrera has recently been tentatively linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but made his presence felt against Hull, impressing fans with his passing and movement in midfield.
In fact, the former Athletic Bilbao star even earned the man of the match award, and fans on Twitter were vocal in their praise of the 25-year-old.
Having been out of the picture in recent weeks, fans were desperate for van Gaal to include him in upcoming games, making him indispensable based upon his display against Hull.
gotta admit Herrera was classy today plus he bagged an assist, what a player to watch on his fine day #mufc— Moss Moseh (@MossMoseh) November 29, 2014

Blind has done well since joining #MUFC but I think Herrera offers us more going forward, especially with Carrick & Fellaini also playing.— #MUFC (@TshumanMC) November 29, 2014
Let's hope Ander Herrera now becomes a permanent figure in that starting line-up. Supremely gifted. #MUFC— Simon Russell (@SimonRussell89) November 29, 2014
