Sam Allardyce and Alan Pardew both face their former employers today as Newcastle United make the long trip south to face West Ham United.
Allardyce's Hammers won all three of their games in October, but have so far been winless in November, slipping to a 2-1 defeat at Everton last weekend after two successive draws against Stoke and Aston Villa.
They are boosted by the return of Cheikhou Kouyate and Stewart Downing, whilst former Newcastle striker Andy Carroll starts against his former club in the absence of Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia - with no place in the starting line-up for Mauro Zarate.
Newcastle conversely made a dreadful start to the season, but a 1-0 win over Leicester City has sparked a remarkable recovery from Pardew's men.
Subsequent victories over Tottenham, Liverpool, West Brom and Queens Park Rangers have catapulted the Magpies up to fifth place in the table, and spirits are high around Tyneside.
Newcastle have won two of their last three games at Upton Park, whilst the Hammers have just one win in eight against the Magpies - but history will go out of the window today, with both sides looking to make a push for European qualification this season.
