Xbox Japan boss steps down, will move to work at Microsoft HQ

Takashi Sensui's role as Xbox Japan's head comes to an end.

Xbox One hasn't bee doing so well in Japan, and now Japan's Xbox boss Takashi Sensui has stepped down from his role.

The report comes from Kotaku, via Famitsu.

Sensui took over as Xbox Japan boss back in 2006, but will not be leaving the company however, he will move to work at Microsoft's main office to take on the role of General Manager for the Interactive Entertainment Business. He will work under Xbox vice-president Mike Nichols, whilst also supporting Xbox Japan from the US during this reorganisation.

Xbox Japan will now be jointing run by Consumer and Partner Group General Manager Yoshinami Takahashi, and head of the Consumer and Partner Group Retail Business Nobuyoshi Yokoi.

This news follows reports of poor sales of Xbox Ones in Japan
