West Ham looking to sign Barcelona wonderkid Munir El Haddadi on loan

West Ham are reportedly hoping to secure a loan deal for Barcelona wonderkid Munir El Haddadi.

For what seems like the first time since Dean Ashton partnered Carlos Tevez in attack, West Ham finally have a dangerous set of strikers.

Summer signings Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and Mauro Zarate have all impressed his season, contributing goals and previously unseen electric movement in the West Ham front line.

The return of Andy Carroll adds another dimension to Sam Allardyce's side, but that doesn't seem to be stopping the Hammers boss from eyeing up more additions.

Sunderland striker Connor Wickham has been continually linked with a move to Upton Park, whilst the Daily Mirror report that West Ham have enquired about taking Barcelona youngster Munir El Haddadi on loan.

The 19-year-old is the latest wonderkid to emerge from the La Masia conveyor belt of talent, joining the Barcelona youth academy as a 16-year-old having impressed with Rayo Majadahonda, on loan from Atletico Madrid.

His exploits with the Barcelona B team earlier this year led to speculation over a move to Arsenal, and even more so when he started the first game of the season against Elche, and scored his first goal for the first team in the process.

El Haddadi's meteoric rise was topped off in September, when Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque handed him his first international cap as a replacement for Diego Costa against Macedonia.

Yet with Luis Suarez returning from suspension, El Haddadi is now behind the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Suarez and Pedro in the pecking order, and manager Luis Enrique may look to loan El Haddadi out.

That has led to West Ham registering an interest in the teenage boy wonder, and a temporary deal until the end of the season could be on the cards - but Swansea City are also interested in taking El Haddadi on loan, leaving Allardyce to fight for his signature in January.
